Premier League Charitable Fund

PLCF prioritises themes such as community cohesion, education, health and wellbeing, sports participation, youth engagement, employability, and social action. Supported activities include life skills mentoring, employability support, community sports, volunteering, and environmental initiatives. The fund runs national programmes like Premier League Primary Stars (primary education and resilience), Inspires (secondary mental health and aspiration), Kicks (diversion from crime), Changemakers (female empowerment and social action), and the Protect the Planet Challenge (youth climate projects). All work takes place across England and Wales, focusing on deprived areas.

Eligible applicants are strictly UK-registered charities that are club community organisations (CCOs) connected to professional football clubs in England or Wales. These organisations must meet the Capability Code of Practice for safeguarding and governance. PLCF does not accept unsolicited applications; funding occurs by invitation or through established partnership channels. The fund suits medium-to-large organisations with operational capacity, and no income thresholds apply. Beneficiaries are children, young people aged 5-25, and communities in disadvantaged areas.

PLCF does not fund non-club-linked entities or activities outside its priority themes and geography. Organisations that are not UK-registered charities or are not connected to a professional football club in England or Wales are ineligible. Activities unrelated to community cohesion, education, health, sports, youth engagement, employability, or social action are not supported.
