Sylvia and Colin Shepherd Charitable Trust

The Trust supports charitable organisations delivering in and around Yorkshire, with priority given to projects within a 25-mile radius of York. It funds a wide array of causes including social welfare, community activities, arts, culture and heritage, disability, health and well-being, the environment and conservation, poverty and hardship, children and youth, older people, refugees and migrants, criminal justice, homelessness, employment, and armed forces. The Trust supports work that responds to real need and provides evidence of local delivery.

The Trust supports registered charities delivering activities in and around Yorkshire. Organisations based outside the area must demonstrate specific local impact. The Trust prioritises projects that respond to genuine need and provide evidence of local delivery. Beneficiaries include children and young people, older people, people with disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers, ex-offenders, the homeless and unemployed, and ex-service personnel.

General national appeals will not be considered. The Trust focuses its resources on local impact within Yorkshire, particularly around York, and does not support activities that fall outside this geographic priority.

The Trust welcomes unsolicited applications from registered charities. It provides grants to support charitable activities, with a focus on local delivery and genuine need. The Trust's funding style is responsive to the communities it serves, prioritising projects within a 25-mile radius of York.
