The Trust prioritises a range of needs including health challenges, financial crises, disability support, caring responsibilities, transport to medical appointments, specialist equipment, mobility aids, home adaptations, cost-of-living relief, and respite breaks for carers. These interventions aim to directly enhance quality of life when personal resources fall short. For charities and community groups tied to the employee network, funding covers project costs, equipment, and limited core support. The Trust operates across England and Wales, supporting causes that arise within this specific corporate-family context.

Eligible applicants include UK-registered charities and community groups in England and Wales that have a direct link to current or former employees of Freemans Plc, Grattan Plc, or Parcelnet/Hermes Ltd. Individuals must demonstrate company service, typically with a minimum length of employment, and show need. Close dependants of these employees are also eligible. The Trust has no strict income limits but generally prefers smaller organisations. Applications are welcomed from charities nominated by or involving employees who volunteer or fundraise for them.

The Trust does not support the general public, unrelated charities, or causes that lack a direct connection to the specified employee network. Funding is confined to the corporate-family remit, so organisations without a link to Freemans Plc, Grattan Plc, or Parcelnet/Hermes Ltd are not considered.

The Trust provides grants for project costs, equipment, and limited core support to eligible charities and community groups. It also offers targeted aid to individuals in hardship. Unsolicited applications are welcome.
