Eligible applicants are limited to UK-registered charities and academic institutions. The foundation shows a preference for established conservation organisations or expert-led groups with a track record in exotic species work. Small, innovative entities may qualify if they are pre-selected through the foundation’s network. The primary beneficiaries are at-risk exotic wildlife species and the general public, with support directed toward projects that combine measurable outcomes for wildlife with educational benefits. There are no religious restrictions.

The foundation does not support general biodiversity projects, domestic or native species work, or initiatives focused solely on non-exotic wildlife. They avoid funding core costs, unrestricted funding, capital projects, or capacity building that is not directly related to exotic species outcomes. General environmental or habitat conservation without a clear exotic wildlife focus is also outside their remit.

Funding is invite-only, meaning unsolicited applications are not accepted. The foundation provides grants for specific projects, with support structured around evidence-based interventions.
