The Trust funds projects that use football and allied activities to advance education, health and wellbeing, social inclusion, and opportunity. Beneficiaries include young people, disabled individuals, minorities, and isolated older adults. Supported activities encompass staffing, equipment, training, transport, and venue hire for community benefit programmes run by club-affiliated entities. The Trust focuses its work in England and Wales, specifically through clubs in the National League system. This ensures that funding reaches deeply local communities with trusted delivery.

Eligible applicants are registered charities or community interest companies that act as the official Club Community Organisation of a current National League club, based in England or Wales. The priority groups mentioned above are the intended beneficiaries. Organisations must have a strong local connection through their affiliated club. The Trust has no religious restriction on applicants and welcomes unsolicited applications from eligible organisations.

The Trust does not fund core costs, capital works, or charities that are unaffiliated with a National League club. Additionally, it does not support general appeals or initiatives that are not delivered through a club-affiliated community organisation.

The Trust provides project-based funding through club-affiliated community organisations. It accepts unsolicited applications from eligible Club Community Organisations.
